Obituary for Alfred Ronald 'Ronnie' Swain
Alfred Ronald 'Ronnie' Swain, age 48, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born April 28, 1963, in Barnesville, son of Alfred E. 'Butch' and Marty Swain of Caldwell, and the late Terra Erwin. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School and Mid East Career Center in Buffalo, where he studied heating and air conditioning. He was Methodist by faith. Mr. Swain enjoyed riding his motorcycle, bonfires, and partying. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one step-brother, Timothy Bettinger. Surviving in addition to his father and step-mother are his children, Crystle D. (Josh) Basler of Ft. Drum, New York, Rona D. Swain of Batesville, and Hanna L. Swain of Virginia; one step-daughter, Nikki N. (Richard) Gutowski of Pleasant City; his paternal grandmother, Wilma N. Swain of Caldwell; his siblings, Rory (Yvonne) Harper of Dunmore, Pennsylvania, Roberta McAfee of Caldwell, and Rebecca (Michael) Hesson of Batesville; his step-sisters, Theresa (Skeeter) Hamrick of West Virginia, Bridget (Bob) Berens of Florida, Nita (Gary) Clark of Dexter City, Dawn Bettinger (Mason) of Caldwell, and Patsy (Butch) Warner of Summerfield; his step-brothers, Denny (Patty) Bettinger and Doug (Kelly) Bettinger, both of Caldwell; one grandson, Apollo Basler; three step-grandchildren, Aiden, October, and Trinade Gutowski; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Thursday, December 29th at 11AM with Pastor George Clark officiating.
