Obituary for Adam Lee Reed
Adam Lee Reed, age 27, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Caldwell, passed away Monday, October 29, 2012. He was born December 27, 1984, in Cambridge, Ohio, son of Gary and Penny Leach Reed of Caldwell. Adam was a 2003 graduate of Caldwell High School. He received his undergraduate degree from DeVry University, and a master’s degree from its Keller Graduate School of Management in Columbus. He was employed by Pride Technologies as a program management consultant for J. P. Morgan Chase. He was a diehard fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He attended Cypress Wesleyan Church in Hilliard, and the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene. Adam enjoyed playing golf, softball, basketball, and flag football with his friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edsel Reed; and his maternal grandparents, Rex and Shirley Leach. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his sister, Missy (Richard) Slater; special nephews, Collins Banks and Dustin Slater; his paternal grandmother, Nadine Reed; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends who loved him dearly. Adam was with us here on earth for such a short time, but we will always remember his larger than life smile, witty sense of humor, his generous heart, and the times he made us laugh and the times he made us cry. He will be forever ingrained in the hearts and souls of his parents and sister. Life will no longer be a struggle for Adam, for he is at peace now with our Lord and Savior. Friends may call Thursday, November 1, 2012, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, November 2, 2012, at 11AM with Pastor John Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery. Adam had a great love for animals, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paws, Inc., P.O. Box 4, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
