Obituary for Ronnie E. Myers
Ronnie E. Myers, age 79, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at his home. He was born March 8, 1939, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, son of the late Edward C. and Rena Violet Stitt Myers. He was a 1957 graduate of Eastern High School in Chester, Ohio. Ron was a skilled auto mechanic and auto body specialist. He was a employed by Central Insurance Company and AIG as a claims adjuster, and he owned and operated Central and Southern Ohio Appraisers. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell and he attended the Marietta Church of Christ. He enjoyed sprint car racing and attending car shows. He also enjoyed flowers, especially snapdragons, and watching and feeding birds. In his spare time, he also enjoyed writing short stories.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Myers.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Ellen Ashenfelter Davis Myers, whom he married March 8, 1991; two children, Ronald E. (Lisa) Myers of Caldwell and Renita E. Morczek of Orient; three step-children, Tamra L. (Jon) Weatherly of Knoxville, Tennessee, Steven B. (April) Davis of Wamego, Kansas, and Barry L. (Robin) Davis of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers, Ray (Grace) Myers of Chillicothe and Michael D. (Margie) Myers of Caldwell; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, his Jack Russell terrier, Grady, and his calico cat, Gypsey.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 3, 2018, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Pastor Robert Feathers officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marietta Church of Christ, 228 S. Seventh Street, P.O. Box 595, Marietta, Ohio, 45750.
