Obituary for Pauline Faye Gerome
Pauline Faye Gerome, age 92, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, April 7, 2018, at her home. She was born December 13, 1925, in Clendenin, West Virginia, daughter of the late Minus and Inez Smith Goodwill. She was a graduate of Cleveland South High School. Pauline worked as an aide for Summit Acres Nursing Home, and she retired from March Electric in Cambridge following 17 years of service. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its Catholic Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Blanche Frabotta; three brothers, Gilbert Goodwill, Paul Kirkbride, and infant brother Bobby Goodwill; a half-brother, Dean Goodwill; and a sister-in-law, Gaylene Kirkbride.
Surviving are her husband, Louis R. Gerome, whom she married in 1947; one sister, Evelyn (Gerald) Shafer of Sarahsville; several nieces and nephews, including Jack and Gloria Hedges of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; and her special friends and caregivers, Terry and Diane Fry of Caldwell.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 10, 2018, from 4-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a scripture service will conclude vistitation at 7PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Wednesday, April 11th at 10:30AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Care Centers of Cambridge, 6901 Glenn Highway, Cambridge, Ohio, 43725.
