Obituary for Myron D. Pryor
Myron D. Pryor, age 90, of Caldwell, Ohio, celebrated his eternal homecoming Saturday, June 16, 2018, at his home. He was born March 27, 1928, in Waltersburg, Pennsylvania, son of the late John and Beulah Lowe Pryor. He was a 1946 graduate of Dexter City High School, and he was employed by Warren Drilling before going to work for Permian Gas. Myron retired following over 45 years of service for Energy-Cooperative, where he worked in line maintenance and as a meter reader who was on call for everyone. He was also self-employed trenching for gas and water lines. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley. Earlier in his life, Myron rode horses and showed them at events. He was also a skilled woodworker. He was known for having an incredible sense of humor and was a legacy in his own time. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Glendola, and a beloved father to his daughters.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Quaye M. Pryor; one grandson, David Myron Snider; and one great-grandson, Brody Jarrod Price.
Surviving are his wife, Glendola F. Swain Pryor, whom he married August 6, 1950; four daughters, Diana L. Pryor Price of Canton, Rhonda Sue (Wayne) Snider of Thornville, Rosanna M. Pryor of Caldwell, and Donna L. Coburn of Pleasantville; one sister, Nola F. Ellison of Mulberry, Florida; one brother, Terry N. Pryor of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday, June 18, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, June 19th at 11AM with Pastor Larry Copley officiating.
