Shuster, age 68, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born November 17, 1943, in McConnelsville, daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Clark Johnson. She was a graduate of Malta-McConnelsville High School, and she was formerly employed by Malta Manufacturing in McConnelsville and Food Center in Caldwell. She was a former member of Valley Chapter #19, Order of the Eastern Star, McConnelsville. Mrs. Shuster was a homemaker, and she loved reading and playing bingo.

     In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Shuster, whom she married April 8, 1961, and who died in 1998; one son, Stephen R. Shuster, who died March 1, 2009;  one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Shuster; and several brothers and sisters.

     Surviving are two daughters, Teresa L. (Bill) Morrison and Emily S. Shuster, both of Caldwell; one son, James Dean Shuster of Buckeye Lake; four sisters, Mary Ray and Ann Tolbert, both of McConnelsville, Kay Shuster of Reinersville, and Linda Horner of Stockport; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   A private graveside service will be observed at Reinersville Cemetery with Pastor George Clark officiating. Prentice, age 50, of Guernsey, Ohio, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cambridge. He was born April 25, 1961, in Cuba, New York, son of Clara Bessie Lowe Prentice of Florida and the late Clarence L. &quot;Bud&quot; Prentice, and step-son of the late Shirley E. Essex Prentice. He was a scrap dealer, and he was formerly employed by Wheeling Township in Guernsey County. He enjoyed mechanical tinkering, fishing, and camping.

    In addition to his father and step-mother, he is preceded in death by one step-brother, Richard &quot;Rusty&quot; DiBlasio, Jr.

    In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice Prentice of Newcomerstown; three daughters, Tabitha Marie (Mark) Scaggs of Columbus, Manda Sue Prentice of New Philadelphia, and Sarah May Prentice of Newcomerstown; two sisters, Tia (Randy) Rex of New Concord and Barbara (Randy) May of Florida; one brother, Greg Douglas of Kimbolton; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

     A graveside service will be observed Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 11AM at Dudley Cemetery with Pastor Bob Henry officiating. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.mcvay-perkins.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/119_114834.jpg" alt="Wayne W. &quot;Sparky&quot; McCauley" />    Wayne W. &quot;Sparky&quot; McCauley, age 82, of Ava, Ohio, died Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born February 21, 1929, in Byesville, son of the late Pearl Oliver and Laura Belle Moore McCauley. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School, and he was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean War era. He was formerly a dispatcher for the Noble County Sheriff&#039;s Department and a realtor for Strout Realty. He was also employed by RCA, NCR, and ATT. Mr. McCauley was a member of the American Legion Post #0888, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the Old Men&#039;s Club at Marianne&#039;s Restaurant. He was a die hard Republican, and he enjoyed collecting coins and tinkering with electronic equipment.
   
  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step-son, James David Trenner, who died October 6, 2010; one grandson, Darrell Stottsberry, in 1998; one sister, Maxine Layton; and four brothers, Jim Fred, Warren, and Lawrence McCauley.

     Surviving are his former wife, Betty Elizabeth Sopko McCauley of Marietta; his step-children, Terry Lee (Daphine) Trenner of Byesville, Linda D. (Terry) Roberts and Julia Trenner Roberts, both of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     Friends may call Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 11AM to 1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 1PM with Pastor Dale Hunt officiating. <description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.mcvay-perkins.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/119_114511.jpg" alt="A. Paul Jonard" />       A. Paul Jonard, age 84, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born May 16, 1927, in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late Alex and Gertrude Munnell Jonard. He was a graduate of Warren Consolidated High School in Tiltonsville, attended Kent State University for two years, and graduated from The Ohio State University in 1954 with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the 27th Infantry Division from 1946-1947, and served in the Korean War from 1950-1951.

     Mr. Jonard was the first 4-H agent for Noble County, beginning in 1954, and serving for eight years. He was a sales representative for several companies providing micronutrients for agriculture, traveling over thirteen states. He retired in 1989 from Mid Ohio Chemicals. He was a member of the Caldwelll VFW Post #4721, for which he was a member of the honor guard, a member of the Caldwell Fire Department, and a founding member of the Caldwell Emergency Squad. He was a member of the Noble County Recreation Committee, and was instrumental in establishing the Happy Time Pool. He was also a member of the Child Advocacy Support Association in Cambridge, and a former member of the Cambridge Elks. He was an avid Ohio State fan, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and golfing.

     In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Helen Munjas; and one brother, Robert Jonard.

     Surviving are his wife Dolores Greeney Jonard, whom he married June 14, 1952; his children, Sherri L. (Jim) Starr of Caldwell, Paul E. (Angela) Jonard of Denver, Colorado, Dale A. Jonard of Alledonia, William R. (Carol) Jonard of Zanesville, and Brian R. (Jeanne) Jonard of Nashport; one brother, Alex F. Jonard of West Layfayette; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A graveside service will be observed Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10AM at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating and military honors presented by Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. Mizik, age 60, of Belle Valley, Ohio, died Friday, January 27, 2012, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born February 11, 1951, in Belle Valley, son of the late John and Arlene Yoho Mizik. He was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School. He built homes with Dean Jennings, worked as a bridge painter, and  was formerly employed by Bryan and Smith Excavating. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Chapter #641 in Belle Valley. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

     In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Fawn Mizik in 1976; one granddaughter, Deshawna Carol Pekari in 2001; and two brothers, John &quot;Slick&quot; Mizik and Jeffrey A. Mizik.

     Surviving are his wife, Carol Patricia Prunty Mizik, whom he married December 23, 1972; four daughters, Kristie L. Lorey and Melissa D. Mizik, both of Belle Valley, Amy J. (William, Jr.) Porter of Caldwell, and Emily A. (Chris) Pekari of Cambridge; one sister, Janet (Ed) Pitner of Belle Valley; one brother, Joe Mizik of Belle Valley; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://www.mcvay-perkins.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/119_113643.jpg" alt="Kenneth Hickman" />      Kenneth Hickman, age 87, of Caldwell, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Monday, Janaury 23, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. He was born January 29, 1924, in Noble County, son of the late Theodore and Julie Ann Van Dyne Hickman. He was the youngest of eleven children. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the Pacific Theater. He worked for the B&amp;O Railroad and retired in 1980 from the former Gould plant in Caldwell where he was employed as a senior inspector. Mr. Hickman was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Cambridge, for which he served as Sunday School superintendent and was a member of the finance committee for many years.

    He met the love of his life, Betty Jewel Hupp, when he was fourteen years old, and they were married on September 8, 1942, at the age of eighteen. They were married for 62 years.

    He is preceded in death by his wife Betty on December 22, 2004; one son, Kelvin Hickman, who died December 26, 1992; four sisters, Luella Moore, Clara Roberts, and Martha and Hannah Hickman; and six brothers, Dewey, Levi, Jessie, Harry, Dennis, and Walter Hickman.

     Surviving are his children, Janice (Leo) Gibson of Caldwell, Kenneth R. &quot;Ronnie&quot; (Linda) Hickman of Caldwell, Joyce Young of Caldwell, and Debra (Jack) Hansis of Marietta; one sister-in-law, Eileen Hickman of Lisbon; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Forshey of Dexter City and the late Geraldine E. Rhodes Forshey, who died March 13, 2005. He was a 1976 graduate of Caldwell High School, and he was employed by The Dish Network as an installer. He was formerly employed by The Mahle Corporation plant in Caldwell. Mr. Forshey was an avid hunter and fisherman.

     In addition to his father, he is survived by one daughter, Margaret Nicole Forshey of Bradley, Illinois; one sister, Cindy L. Pate of Williamstown, West Virginia; one granddaughter, Shai Helice Forshey of Bradley, Illinois; three nieces, Cara Jae of Williamstown, West Virginia, Cali Pate of Cannonsburg, Pennsylvania, and Casi Pate of Fayetteville, West Virginia; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was born April 3, 1918, in Buffalo, daughter of the late Joe and Leah Lott Mendenhall. She attended Buffalo and Caldwell schools, and after working many places, including Ball&#039;s Supermarket in Caldwell, she retired from Johnny Appleseed. She was a member of the First Church of Christ on North Street.

     In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Davis, whom she married October 31, 1937, and who died April 23, 1980; two sisters, Isabel Dowling and Bernadine Stewart; and one brother, Karl Mendenhall.

     Surviving are two sons, Bud (Brenda) Davis of Caldwell and Russ (Debbie) Davis of Zanesville; one sister, Bonnie Muhlbach of Caldwell; four grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her special niece and caregiver, Maureen Schultice of Caldwell.

She was a homemaker, and she was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed playing poker, bingo, and slot machines. She also enjoyed attending yard sales. She loved her family.

     In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Roy L. &quot;Dan&quot; Prunty, who died in 1968; her second husband, James Roy Seamster, who died in 1987; a granddaughter, Melinda Mizik; a great-granddaughter, Deshawna Pekari; four brothers, Albert, Kenneth, Paul, and Emanuel Briggs; and one daughter-in-law, Connie Prunty, who died in 2007.
